    A variety of classes to meet all needs that include traditional vinyasa flow with Kriya's infused, restorative, yin, yoga nidra and Jnana yoga. We do not forcibly heat our room. Bring a mat, the rest of the props are provided.


    Class pricing: $12 per class; $55 for 5 class card; $100 for 10 class card.

    Quoted from the California College of Ayurveda website: Ayurveda is the traditional medicine of India and the oldest system of Health Care in the world. A system of both preventative and curative medicine, it has been practiced for at least 5,000 years and perhaps as long as 10,000 years. Ayurveda understands that each person is unique and as a result, each person's path toward optimal health is unique. Ayurveda helps individuals to know what types of food, colors, aromas, sounds and touch will create a state of balance and harmony in the body and mind by analyzing a persons constitution through an extensive interview. When the body and mind are in harmony, normal physiology is restored and healing takes place.

    Renew and Restore: Offers poses that support the body with bolsters and props so that the mind and body have the space to find a deep relaxation. All on the floor, supported for longer exploration, and for yogi’s of all levels. Especially great for those recovering from injuries or with limited ability to stand for longer periods, and for those seeking space to release inward.

    Gentle Flow/Beginner: A gentle flow joins breath with movement with more resting poses in between. Once the body is warmed we move into deeper poses to open the shoulders, hips and hamstrings. We adjust to all body types with the use of props such as blocks, bolsters and straps. Finding strength and mobility within the poses, this slow flow class gives the student the time to explore and learn the true medicine of yoga.

    Wake up Flow: A morning flow to awaken your body, mind and breath to the day.

    Mixed Flow: Medium paced flow includes Kriya’s, some chanting and breath practices with longer held poses in the last half. Each teacher brings their own style to the practice.


    Monday Morning Gentle Yoga: Combines Yin with gentle floor seated, kneeling and standing poses. Class ends with a few restorative poses.


    Yin Flow: Some simple warm up standing poses before we move into longer held poses on the floor. Poses on the floor are meant to allow time for deeper access into all the layers surrounding your joints and bones. We use props liberally in this class including the wall.

    Karma Yoga: An all level fun class to brighten your Saturday. Modifications will be given to all pose’s so that every level of yogi can participate. Be aware: you may find lightness and laughter in this class. Class is a gift to students. Donations for the teacher are accepted.

    Sisters of the Sacred to facilitate a night of feminine embodiment. To empower, inspire, rise up and embody our Shakti. Bring yourself to wholeness into the Sacred Circle. Cost is a sliding scale $25-$50 , please offer what you can afford. Cost includes space and take home item. Call if you have questions 333-3126.

    Space is limited to 12 students, pre-registration is recommended. Please wear clothing that allows for comfortable movement. Arrive 5-10 minutes early with mat and water. Additional props will be provided.

    Yoga is healing and rejuvenating, it acts like a glass of water to a thirsty body, nourishment for the soul. My goal as a teacher is to be a guiding light so that others may find the array of benefits from this beautiful practice. In each class the stage is set and adjusted for anybody to enjoy the movement and magic of yoga but most of all the stillness for it is in the quiet places that we find the peace within. Over the last 6 years I have dedicated myself to intensive metaphysics study in which I found a deep love for the healing arts of Reiki and Yoga. Trainings and certifications include: Emerson Institute-Spiritual Study and Certified Meditation Teacher, Certified Reiki Practitioner, Embodyoga 200hr CYT with Karen Miscal-Bannon.

    Lynette teaches restorative yoga at The Healing Shala. She welcomes all to this gentle practice, but especially recommends it for individuals who are healing from illness or surgery or are in need of deep relaxation.

    In the twenty years that she has been regularly practicing yoga, Lynette has found a wonderful sense of peace and calm in addition to added strength and flexibility. She continually marvels at the practicality of this ancient practice and how it applies to our everyday lives.

    Lynette received her 200 hour certification from Susan Whitaker at Canyon Spirit Yoga in Auburn in 2004. In addition, she has studied with many great teachers including Donna Farhi, Tim Miller, Baxter Bell, Doug Swenson, Charles and Lisa Matkin and Beryl Bender Birch. The work of teachers such as Judith Lasater and Paul Grilley, along with the principles of Iyenger and Kripalu continue to inspire her.

As a Yoga student and teacher, she is dedicated to weaving timeless world philosophies, artistic movement, sound, and joyful expression into her practice and classes. Naturally a free spirit, she is guided by her vision to always be "run by the heart", offering experiences that nurture connection and encourage individuals to live authentically.

    Amy is the ultimate adventure seeker, continually pushing the boundaries of her 'comfort zone'. She recently thru-hiked the John Muir Trail, a 220-mile long distance backpacking trail through the Sierra Nevada mountain range.
